Life is Existential. Our birth should be celebrated with an enriched life. As we navigate life the road becomes unclear and we question our relationships and purpose. But, we must cling to the goals that we have set for ourselves to seek peace. Life includes stress, anxiety, and negative events, however we also experience peace, joy, and positive events. When we are in the midst of stress, anxiety, or negative conditions we forget that we can still access peace, joy, and positive experiences.
Seek wellness by writing down the top three things that you want from life. Then assess what you are actually doing to get what you want. Evaluate your action steps. If they are not totally getting you what you want create a plan to get your primary "wants" fulfilled.
This process of filtering what we want through an assessment of "Wants, Doing, Evaluate, and Plan" is called WDEP. WDEP was developed through Dr. Glasser's Reality Choice theory. Negative life circumstances do not pass anyone by. Stressful circumstances exist in any home or corner of the earth. The deep impact of the stressful event can be stopped by you. We either choose a goal to remove the stressor or we make a goal (conscious or unconscious) to maintain the stressor. It is up to you to make a goal to stop your stressor.
